How to Recognize TAURUS, Taurus the Bull by Linda Goodman
A travel enthusiast friend of mine, who had explored numerous places multiple times, once recounted a memorable trip to southern Spain on a tramp steamer. While standing on the deck, admiring the view, a massive rock formation emerged on the horizon, majestically rising from the bright blue Mediterranean. Excitedly, someone on the ship exclaimed, "Look! The Rock of Gibraltar!" My friend, in awe, captured a picture of it to share with loved ones back home.
Turning to a disinterested teenager in the adjacent deck chair, he waxed poetic about the rock's beauty. "Isn't it amazing?" he asked. "Countless waves have crashed against it over the centuries, storms have battered it, armies have attacked it, civilizations have come and gone, yet it stands unchanged and immovable." The teenager yawned and replied, "Yeah. Reminds me of my old man."
Born in May, the teenager's father was a typical Taurus, symbolized by the bull. Taurus individuals could be found in various fields such as farming, banking, real estate, as well as many other professions. They were known for their strong and silent demeanor, often expressing themselves with simple phrases like "Yep," "Nope," "Thanks," "So long," and frequently "Uh-uh," meaning "Nope."
The Taurus nature was akin to the Rock of Gibraltar—solid, steady, and undisturbed by life's chaos. They could endure various challenges with calm and composure. No matter how much you provoked them, they would remain unruffled. However, when pushed to their limits, they could unleash a powerful and explosive temper, much like a charging bull.
Nevertheless, Taurus individuals were typically placid and content when left alone. They didn't seek constant excitement or attention. Instead, they preferred steady and deliberate movement, both physically and verbally.
Taureans exuded a certain charm and had a distinct love for the comforts of home. They were drawn to stability and often accumulated wealth and possessions gradually over time. Though patient and reliable, they could also be stubborn and unyielding in their opinions and decisions.
Taurus people were often blessed with good health and a strong constitution. They could eat a wide range of foods without suffering from indigestion. However, they needed exercise and fresh air to maintain their well-being.
While they could appear laid-back and passive, Taurus individuals had a deep love for art, music, and beauty. They were often attracted to the finer things in life, and their love for luxury was reflected in their possessions and surroundings.
In the end, the Taurus spirit was one of enduring strength, tranquility, and a strong bond with the land. They were as dependable as the earth itself, and their capacity for lasting love and wealth was formidable. However, their stubborn nature was an integral part of their character.
Numerous famous personalities throughout history were born under the Taurus zodiac sign, including Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Queen Elizabeth I, Ella Fitzgerald, and William Shakespeare, among others.
Overall, the Taurus individual was a fascinating combination of solidity, determination, and a profound appreciation for life's pleasures. Like the Rock of Gibraltar, they would stand firm against life's challenges, weathering the storms that came their way.
